Data Centre Coordinator 
(Server Analyst)

Position Details

We are seeking a Data Center Facilities Coordinator to join our team and support a provincial client in managing IT infrastructures across data centers, correctional facilities, and remote sites. This role is critical in ensuring the secure, efficient operation of technology services while aligning with organizational goals and compliance standards.

 

Scope of Responsibilities

✏️ Oversee and manage technology services across data centers, correctional facilities, and remote sites.
✏️ Implement and coordinate IT facility services, including WiFi management, equipment upgrades, and network optimization.
✏️ Maintain and manage rack systems, power, cooling infrastructures, and network closets for peak performance.
✏️ Develop and implement disaster preparedness and regulatory compliance plans.
✏️ Lead and supervise teams for asset management, procurement, and documentation processes.
✏️ Provide consultation and troubleshooting support to clients and internal teams.
✏️ Coordinate maintenance schedules to ensure seamless and consistent service delivery.
✏️ Facilitate communication with stakeholders to keep all parties informed about operational updates.

 

Key Qualifications

✅ Proven experience managing IT facility services, data centers, or similar infrastructure projects.
✅ Strong understanding of network optimization, power management, environmental controls, and rack systems.
✅ Ability to lead a team and manage cross-functional projects effectively.
✅ Excellent problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
✅ Knowledge of disaster preparedness, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
✅ Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across stakeholders.
✅ Relevant certifications in IT management or infrastructure are an asset.

Equipment Provided

💻 Laptop or computer provided.

 

Working Hours

⏰ Monday through Friday, 08:15 – 16:30 (Alberta time), excluding provincial holidays.

 

Location

📍 Primarily remote (must work from within Canada for data security reasons).
📍 Expected to attend in-office meetings in Edmonton up to 2 times per month with reasonable notice. Travel expenses for meetings are not reimbursed.
